This actor and film producer was born in Hammersmith (London, England) the 9th September 1960. Nowadays he lives in London. When he was young, he attended Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith where he played rugby, cricket and football. Then, in 1975, he earned a scholarship to New College (Oxford), where he studied English Literature and starred in his first film.
He often plays golf and sometimes he participates in some tournaments. He loves reading and before he was a famous actor he worked as a book critic. Now he is learning to improve his tennis technique.
This Britsh actor is well-known for his roles in Nothing Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral. In all his movies he looks like the typical English gentleman. Moreover, he has won a lot of awards like a Golden Globe, a BEFTA and an Honorary César.
Now I think he is reading a good book in the sofa of his apartment in London.
